All Truckmounts and Truckmount Carpet Cleaning Machines
share three components:
A Water Pressurization System to allow transport of the cleaning solution
from a storage tank to the solution distribution jets just above the
carpet. There are two considerations when evaluating the water
pressurization system of Truckmounts: FLOW; A Truckmount Wand typically flows about 2.2 gallons per minute through the jets at a PRESSURE
of 500 pounds per square inch. Truckmounts will usually flow about 3.5
gpm max. Truckmounts are usually regulated to a maximum pressure of
1200 psi. Some Truckmounts are equipped with high pressure washing
circuits that will provide up to 4000 psi, but it is generally accepted
as a bad idea to expose the expensive components of a Truckmount to
such extreme high pressures. You can buy a much better pressure washer
for around $1,500.00.
¨ A Vacuum System to
extract the soils and dirt loosened up by the pressure
and cleaning solution, then transport this mixture back to a recovery
tank. Rather than a fan type vacuum pump, Truckmounts use what is called a positive displacement "Blower". Again, when we talk about Truckmount vacuum, we are still talking
about pressure & flow. Most Truckmount vac pumps operate at a
negative pressure (called "Lift") of 14" with 2 notable exceptions.
The BLUELINE VORTEX "BIG TRUCK" Truckmount operates at up to 18" of
"Lift" & The WHITE MAGIC PRO 1200HV Direct Drive Truckmount
operates at 20" of "Lift".
Truckmount systems will also have a Heat Exchanger
